Travel with suits
Discussion
I have a soft garment carrier that folds/zips in half, with the suits remaining on their hangers.
If you're travelling business class it can be hung full length by the cabin crew, and if you're travelling economy it can lay flat in the overhead.
On arrival, unpack the suits and hang normally and they'll look fine.
One of my colleagues uses a Victorinox garment pack, and folds his suits into those. They fit in his carry on bag and don't seem to get creased up - but I've not been that brave to risk it with mine.

Are you staying at a hotel? They may well have a pressing service - or be able to recommend a local one. Will look better than you can ever hope with packing techniques/steaming.
This, of course, assumes you have time before you need to first wear the suit. If not, could you not wear the suit to board and pack some casual clothes (easily accessible) and then change in to them on the flight and take care of the trousers etc. yourself? Then change back on approach. (if that makes sense... quite a fuss though!)
