Amsterdam Hotel advice please
Discussion
Thanks for that. I worked just outside Amsterdam ( Sloterdijk ) for a year, and have stayed in enough dodgy hotels. That's why i am looking for a 5 star, or even a good 4 star hotel. The hotel De L'euorpe looks nice, but it's £500 for the two nights.
Anyone else with personal recomendations?
Thanks

Stayed at http://www.westcordhotels.nl/hotels/city-centre-ho... a couple of months ago. Perfectly fine for the price and pops up as a secret deal on lastminute.com from time to time.
budget? the dylan is a proper 5 star hotel, but $$$$$ prices.
i stayed in an executive room here last time i visited:

really fab, i imagine the suites to be even more so. the view from the skylounge is just amazing:

the lloyd is also a cracking hotel, but a good walk from the centre

however, my suggestion would be to spend a bit of time browsing on airbnb. i find i am using them almost exclusively now. for example:
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/139445
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/544625
as long as you're in the canal belt, anywhere is 20min walk max.
