Cancun

I'm looking to visit cancun - I went last year and enjoyed it - but could do with some advice. I'm now looking at one the of other coastal areas i.e. Playa Carmen or Playa Car; but I'm unsure if either will be as vibrant and busy as Cancun.

I'm going with mates, so a good off-resort life is important. Any hotel recommendations would be appreciated too, and the less children the better.

Stayed in the "Sun Palace" a few years ago - fully inc. but (IIRC) couples only and no kids which was mega.

A bit of a trek from Concun centre but there are buses and taxis are cheap so don't be too worried about the hotel being bang in the middle.

Fully inc was pricey but we made up for it by abuse of the bars and restaurants.

Just avoid the Blue Bay Getaway unless your going with your missus and are into swinging!
