Where to go in December

Hi,

Wife is 30 on new years eve so fancy going away for 3-4 days.

Where would you recommend? Budget about 1250£ plus spendies.

Would like somewhere abroad but open to ideas.... I think for my budget I'm going to struggle with anywhere warm?
