I'm going to Las Vegas in October with my wife and two teenage daughters. My wife and I have been several times, but it will be the first time for our daughters, so we would like to make it a bit more memorable for them by having a limo transfer from the airport. We are staying at Signature Suites at the MGM Grand which is very close, so perhaps a ride along the strip etc to show them them major landmarks would be good, before we get dropped off. Has anyone got any suggestions for which company to use from their own experience? Thanks. smile

Thanks. As long as they are plentiful, I should be fine then. I just don't want to lose man points for arriving there after assuring Mrs S that all will be fine, only to find that I can't get one! shoot
hehe

Try not to get one with a stripper pole in. Could be awkward.

I will have to ask the wife who our limo company was - excellent service, got the same driver on both trips (airport, sightseeing then to hotel on the first day, then hotel to airport on the last day). Lovely car, complete with Rush and Van Halen on the radio, a woofly V8 rumble and champagne on ice. We booked in advance - all the limos I saw when I got off the plane were booked, with drivers waiting with name cards for people getting off our plane. Other than a few regular taxis, I didn't see any limo taxis, but perhaps I was looking in the wrong place. That said, slap bang outside the terminal is where you'd expect them to be, but there were none there.

Call the MGM, all of the main hotels have their own limos.
Expect to tip $20-$40.

Oh and when you get picked up at the airport the driver will say,

First time in Vegas Mr?

You say yes (if it is of course)

Driver then proceeds to go on a massive detour and bills the st out of you for it.

This sounds ideal. Thank you.

I know that's the simple option and I don't have a problem with the tip, but I (perhaps wrongly) assumed that this route would generate an unnecessary MGM tax.

Most of the Limos charge an hourly rate, so taking a longer route is of no benefit to them.

This also allows you time for a 'free' stopoff at the "Welcome to Vegas" sign or at a supermarket to pickup discount supplies/booze before the drop-off at the hotel.
