Philippinnes earthquake - should I be concerned?
Discussion
A tsunami warning is issued pretty much every time there's an undersea quake, even if there's not much chance of a wave; that's due to the amount of time it takes to work out whether there definitely is one. It's better to get everybody to high ground and then back down again than not.
Earthquakes can happen pretty much anywhere (even in the UK) at any time, so I shouldn't let it worry you too much. So long as the hotel is reasonably modern, you'll be safe.
