Hi all,

I am transiting through T5 on Saturday and have more than a few hours between flights (5 and a half hours). Is there a way to pay for lounge access on the door at entry or do they not do this at T5?

I have seen the various membership clubs available online where you can prepay for a number of lounges worldwide but at LHR it doesnt include T5 so this isnt going to be a way to do it.

Anyone know if this is going to be possible?

Cheers all.

Hi, T5 is all British Airways. So, the only way to get into a BA lounge is with a BA card (silver & above) or if you are flying Club class or above. You need to check your BA ticket.

There are no other pay per vist lounges (such as priority pass) in T5.

What Melchett said. Having said that, there's quite a lot of OK restaurants in T5, so there's plenty of places you can go that aren't communal bench areas.

The only thing you'll be missing is the showers and the free internet - and having to pay for food and drink of course. Not ideal, but there are a lot worse airport terminals to be stuck in without a lounge (as I've experienced all too often, unfortunately).

t5 isn't too bad to relax in the terminal itself... up there with the best overseas ones.

5.5 hours there will fly by

We were there for 4 1/2 hours yesterday having flown home from LA and waiting for connection to Manchester. As said Priority Pass doesn't work there.

Probably a good thing we couldnt find comfy seating as I'm sure we would have fallen asleep and missed the flight home!

Not sure if this is the Winsor Suite or not, but the Winsor Suite I've only ever seen in the bookings of royalty, prime ministers, and sometimes home secretaries at a push.

I don't want to be pedantic (well, actually I do), but at £1,500 per person (plus VAT of course), wouldn't the money be better buying business class tickets and getting lounge access that way?

That said, I wonder if I could sneak through a "By Invitation" invoice on expenses... scratchchin
