Looking for a few days away, would like it to be warm and dry - doesn't have to be hot. Would prefer to stay within a 4 hr flight if possible. Is Sardinia a bad idea? Sicily is also a possibility I guess.

Any other ideas? We like to be able to do stuff, so scenery, historic stuff etc all good.

We've done the Italian Lakes already this year, and Marrakech.

TIA for any input smile

Madeira? It's very pretty (and as the name implies has some good booze going down! winkbiggrin)

Thanks both - been to Madeira a few years ago, not a great deal to do there tbh. Canaries - never thought about so will explore that one - thanks smile

Can be bleak in the Med in November, if it's nice the temperature can hit the mid teens, but it can be cold and wet, too risky IMHO. More of a chance of sun in the Canaries, look at Tenerife though if you want things to do, hire a car and explore, great driving up into the mountains.

Have been to Sicily twice, end of september and once in october, wether can be warm but expect rain!! And when i dies rain it doesnt stop for a day or 2!
Maybe we have just been unlucky though!???

Canaries would get my vote, didnt like futureventura (caletta) but loved lanzarote (costa teguise) and gran canaria (peuto de morgen) was even better.

Thanks chaps. Never looked closely at the Canaries but will do so - have just realised that my planned dates clash with half term though - doh.... For that reason I've switched to looking at a city break where people tend not to go with the kids - currently Seville is the favourite smile

We're going to Istanbul for a wedding in November. A truly wonderful city. Just about on your four hour cut off.
