I recently flew back from the states and left my phone on the plane.

the facts are as follows.

when leaving the plane and collecting my belongings, I noticed my phone was missing.
I got off the plane and reported it to lost property, nothing was recovered.
While I was waiting for the plane to be checked a friend of mine travlling in a different seat said that at the beginning of the flight he saw a passenger in the row in front of me pick up a white Iphone and hand it to cabin crew.
He didnt mention it to me as he didnt think it was mine.
Cabin crew didnt ask if anyone had lost anything
The Airline now say they dont have it, this is depite my friend confirming he saw a guy in the row in front of me find it under his seat and hand it to cabin crew.
Ive emailed the airline and they say there is nothing they can do.

now putting the issue of the cost of the phone and the holiday pics etc to one side I am annoyed about the fact that there is a slight chance here that the phone has been kept by someone that works for the airline and that the airline are refusing to check with the roster of the cabin crew and ask them if anyone has it.

Im currently dealing with a very slopy shouldered person in their customer services dept, but does anyone have any advice on any indepents I could turn to in this instance.

Im now not bothered about the phone but very bothered about the fact it could have been nicked and that the airline dont seem too worried. If it was me I would ask the person in 14c if they handed it in and who to, then go from there. They seem very unwilling to do this.

sheer laziness on behalf of the customer services dept of the airline, especially when they may have a light fingered person amongst them.

Email their PR department and also ask them about it on Twitter. They are more likely to want to see the situation resolved.
