Just booked to visit AbuDhabi & Sri Lanka in 2013 - Any tip?

Hi there fellow PH'ers.

The wife & I have just booked our Easter 2013 holiday and I am pretty excited. This will be my first time in Asia and low and behold I have managed to drop an F1 track into the mix.

Spending 4 nights at the Yas Marina Hotel. Hoping to at least get a few laps in something quick while we are there, as well as some desert off roading.







..before flying out to Sri Lanka for a week in Galle...



Anyone here done a driving day at YAS, or any other tips especially places to see or things to do in Sri Lanka?

All the driving and track rides are in the evening from about 19.30 till late and not every night.Its very important to check and book in advance.During the day you can get a guided tour of the circuit and all the facilities for about £25 each,well worth it.

Thanks OLD MERC for the pictures and advice. I have emailed the Yas circuit, but I now have to wait until December, when they release their 2013 diary, to see if I can do a driving experience during my visit. Fingers crossed!!
