Heading here for a long weekend 30 November to 2 December

Any suggestions on what to see/do?

Places to eat?

Cheers

Was there a couple of years ago and loved it.

Spajza was a great restaurant. We didn't want to see the menu but just asked for a tradtional Slovene feast. We weren't dissappointed with the array of food that came out including various different types of deer. There are also numerous Pizzerias around some serving mind blowingly large pizza'a.

Lake Bled, about an hours drive away is definately worth a visit and if you go make sure you visit the little island in the middle with the church.

One big surprise was the excellent silver service meal we had at the airport awaiting the flight home.

Hope you enjoy the trip.

I was disappointed by bled due to it being spoilt by tourism which I know sounds daft but it used to be a quite nice lake and now surrounded by new buildings etc. You would be better to check out Lake Bohinj (pronounced bok) absolutely amazing place, almost fairly tale like and much much nicer than bled and only 20mins from bled.

Also as this is ph also worth noting that there are some awesome roads in Slovenia!!

Love Slovenia and one of the main things you will find is it has the food of the Italians and the perfectionism of the Austrian (bloody good mix if you ask me!!)

+2. Last time I went there (a few years ago, granted) all the new building were clustered down one end - the rest of it was stunning.

And Bohinj is worth checking out - if memory serves there's a cable car that gives a pretty good view of the area nearby too.

Yes there is.
And also at the far end of the lake there is a waterfall called slaap savica, which is nice if the weather isn't wet and miserable otherwise the view isn't very good. Also lots of steps! 500+, if memory serves me correctly! Very nice walk though!
