Cancun for Spring Break?

Thinking of going to Cancun for spring break with a few mates, just wanted to know peoples experiences who have been before? and would they go again?
Am planning to go march 4/5-14/15 which i heard is the peak time to go!! heard mixed numbers about the boy:girl ratios?

Also any recommendations of hotels? All-inclusive worth it? anything else we should plan for whilst we are there?

Unless you are under 25 and single I cannot think of a worse place on earth during spring break.

I went a few years ago and would not go during spring break again. Way more guys than girls, all of them drunk on half a lager as they can't drink at home until 21, lots of agro, being British was a bad thing for a lot of the Yank guys and generally really grim; and I like Cancun normally. By contrast, Malia in July is way more classy....

I went when I was 23 and unwittingly hit summer break...

Mate just get it booked - like right now.

You'll be one of the few Brits and, unless you're a total prick (we encountered a group of 30 cockey wker types, and they were despised), you'll be f*cking pulled apart by the women.

The yanks were great crack - don't believe the movies / TV. Down to earth, funny, and up for proper drinking.

Best 'lads' holiday I've had.

I have just turned 25, so that should be ok!!
I have just booked the flights with the lads, and now need to work out hotels!

Any other reccomendations/advice for hotels? Am going to stay on the strip, is it worth getting All-Incl or not?

Do it, i have been 3 times during spring break and have stayed at the Oasis Cancun (mental) and the Great Parnassus (amazing hotel - hot tub in the room and on the balcony).

Pretty much any hotel you choose is going to be 4*+ and i would definitely go all inclusive, it's not normally that much dearer and think 4am room service of fillet steak, 6 corona, etc, etc free of charge - i would say i easily drank more than the actual holiday package cost every time i went!

Most of the hotels are a short and cheap taxi ride away from the city centre but on most evenings you can find the local 'club promoter', pay him $50 and you will get transport to/from the nightclub, free entry, queue skip, vip table and free drinks all night - you can't get much better than that for about £35

We decided to go all-inclusive and are staying at the Krystal Hotel which is at the beginning of the strip about 2min away from Coco-bongos?
http://www.krystalcancun.com/ if anyone has been there before, i heard its meant to be the second most lively place after the oasis hotel which was sold out!

FYI
it worked out to be £700 per person for the hotel, that was 2 sharing a room, 2 double beds, balcony, ocean view (Krystal club room). whilst the Oasis we saw worked out to about £1300/pp!!!! which was over budget.

39 days to go of healthy eating and gym :-D
