Warm city break in February/March
Discussion
Hi all
Want to take my other half away at end of Feb/early March for 5-7 nights on a nice city break with a view to proposing during the holiday.
Would like to go somewhere with better weather than the UK so preferably warm/mild weather. Budget is around £2000-2500 all in for the holiday. Main requirements are good food and hopefully some good landmarks/attractions.
I am looking at San Francisco and Los Angeles, been to neither before and nor has she. I always wanted to go to San Francisco but the weather in Feb looks unpredictable. LA is better weather but seems essential to rent a car as massively spread out and I don't really want to have to drive long distances to see attractions etc unless unavoidable. Flights are cheap however. Have also looked Caribbean but I think out of my reach budget wise at this point.
The last city break we did was Amman & Dead Sea in April and was fantastic so this needs to equal/top that if possible! I have been to Chicago in the past which was great & walkable but too cold in winter I think.
I'm sure this is a bit vague but any recommendations would be welcome.
Thanks
Nick
