Christmas/New Year hotel/spa/party

Seems lots of posh hotels offer Christmas and New Year parties. Has anyone any good experiences?
We'd like: Nice hotel room for the night, indoor pool/jacuzzi, dinner dance type event - don't need posh food.
I don't want to find we're the youngest and the music is all 1930s swing. We're in our 30s/40s.
Suggestions?
