Can you pop over to my place and baby sit for me? I will even pay you the going rate. Then I could finally have a night out with the wife.
Just thought I would ask as my family is 3k miles away back in England.
Thanks.
you not got one of those hot teenage (over 16 of course!) cheerleaders that are in all the films to babysit for you? That would be one of my main reasons for living in the states!Just thought I would ask as my family is 3k miles away back in England.
Thanks.
Get drunk here: http://www.hotelgansevoort.com/ on the roof terrace and pool.
Watch out for the cocktails, pretty darn potent.

I don't know what films you've been watching, but don't they normally come with an axe wielding maniac?Kaelic said:

That would be paedephilia in the US......there is an app on the iPhone where you can track registered sex pests. I don't want to make an appearance on it. TackleburyUk said:
Whereabouts are you?
I'm tempted to say yes!!!
I appreciate the consideration but I just moved from Hoboken which is on the Hudson river and is a good night out up to West Orange which is about 20 miles away from NYC. My house is in a nature reservation so the only action you are likely to see is deer fornicating.I'm tempted to say yes!!!
Book yourself in for a meal here: http://www.theviewnyc.com/.
Take in the sights and sounds of Times Square at night.
Find a bar somewhere nearby, possibly take a cab over to one of the decent hotels on Park or Lexington Avenues.

I arrive at 9pm, depart at 7.40 am.
Last minute booking (9am, departed 12.45pm that day) so just got the best I could.
I type this from the Cayman Islands whilst I enjoy a local pint of white fin lager.....
Doubt you'd get to Manhattan much before 22.30, and you'll need to be back at the airport for 06.00-ish, so leaving Manhattan 05.00-05.30 (assuming JFK, but not tooo much difference if elsewhere). Narrows the options a little if you want a bit of kip as well.Last minute booking (9am, departed 12.45pm that day) so just got the best I could.

Top of the Rock is open at that time. You go to the top of the Rockefeller building and get IMO better views of the city than the empire state building. On your way into the city you can get food from Peter Lugers where the last seating is 9:45PM.
In a city that is meant to never sleep the bars close at 4AM. I can't really help with bar hopping ideas because I am still in need of a baby sitter. But, i used to drink in Pastis in Meat packing which is not a blow you away super bar but is a decent place to get a drink.
