Hi there,

Looking to go visit the OH's family in Israel around the 3rd-9th April with little flexibility on dates however flights all seem to be extortionately priced (nearly £400 with Easyjet), any recommendations for flights? (Preferably from London)

Cheers

Get a cheap flight to Sharm and then a cab?

£400 sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

It is holiday season, so prices will be higher. For those dates, Easyjet is cheapest for direct flights. If you don't mind overnighting in Riga, you can get flights for £250 on AirBaltic!

Hitchhike overland?

£200 each way seems astoundingly good value. That's what it cost more than 20 years ago before the no-frills era.

Or you could ask for a seat on the wing.

A weeks 5 star all inclusive @ Sharma can be had for £300 all in @ present, not much greater distance than to Israel where you want 25% more just for the flights, I went on a tour there years ago & would love to go back and take the kids for a look about but the flights are on the steep side frown.
