Hi all,

Thinking of taking the family to Eurodisney this year, but getting a bit overwhelmed with conflicting advice from other sites, so thought I'd pick your brains.

Is it wiser to book hotels, flights and tickets through the Disney website or just pop down to a local Thomas Cook (other agents are available) and ask them to source a package for you.

Would it be cheaper to book a hotel close by, book flights from a local airport and buy the tickets on arrival?

Any help gratefully received.

Hope you've got deep pockets . . .

It's often cold and that not just the weather. Personally I would book all the parts myself, but you can often get a good deal booking with Disney themselves as they often run the free meals promotion when staying at their hotels. Once you've priced it up, see how much it would be for Florida, won't be a vast difference and you're almost guarantee the weather

I took the Mrs and 'Le Brat' last summer

Being a tight arse there was no way i was paying the prices i was seeing on t'net, so i just booked all the parts individually

Booked Eurotunnel via CC which saved 15% on the crossing (was £115 for a short break deal)
Bought the Disneyland Paris tickets on the French website, when i went it was HALF the price of the equivalent ticket bought on the UK site
Stayed at this hotel - Auberge du Cheval Blanc - 5 mins from Disney and was £40 a night for a family room (Monsieur Disney wanted £200 odd just for a sleeping bag in the car park).

3 hours drive from Calais and the toll was £17 each way.

I've had a quick look at Eurodisney and the packages were about 1.5 to 2k.

Unless I'm being really thick (a distinct possibility), the Florida option is between 6 and 8k.

I have just come back from Eurodisney, we got an online deal of £39 per person, decided to drive as there were 4 of us, Eurotunnel was £109 return. We opted to stay in a hotel on outskirts of Paris and we caught train to disney which was very easy. It was very busy when we visited and in hindsight I would have paid extra for the VIP tickets to get onto the rides quicker as one of the queues was like 90mins for a 2min ride !

When we went, the queue for Thunder Mountain was 90 mins

Then again, the VIP queue was an hour long!
