A week in Porec, Croatia

[The Leaper]

In a couple of weeks time, the wife and I plus another couple are holidaying for a week in Croatia staying at Porec. So far we plan to hire a car for 2-3 days to explore the area within, say, and 1-2 hour's drive, and also maybe take a day trip to Venice (we've all been there before a long time ago).

Any other suggestions, comments etc, will be most welcome.
