Thailand Twin Centre Holiday
Discussion
The wife would like to go to Thailand for our anniversary in November. Ive never been so would like to see a bit of Bangkok and also beached like Krabi, but we can only go for a max 9-10 days
See most travel agents do these, but don't have any prices, rough or accurate online, so I need to email a few to get some prices
Until then, anyone know what sort of money are we looking at? can get a nice holiday to one location with a good hotel for about £1-1.5k per person
Seven nights at a beach resort. Three nights at a top hotel in Bangkok, Easily done.
How much depends on how luxurious you want the accommodation. From £10 a night to £300-plus a night is available.
£3 in November should get you four-star digs

Without flights, you'll easily get good accomodation for <£100 a night. Proper 3-star at least, probably 4* in Bangkok. £150 a night will be very nice...
If you're including flights (which for this November will probably be c.£500 each, then you'll need to up your budget).
One tip - November is end of the monsoon over there, but it happens at different times on the East and West coasts. So do some googling and find out when the monsoon is worst in (West) Krabi/Phuket vs East (Koh Samui, Koh Phan Nang, Pattaya*). Then book the less-rainy side.
* I wouldn't, unless you're a dirty old man or a backpacker.

OP - If it's any help, wifey and I stayed here in march 2012 and it cost us about £50 per night without breakfast. Although, I would recommend taking the breakfast option as the hotel is a little out of the way, but then thats not such a bad thing in Ao Nang!
