Salamis Bay (Cyprus) - Things to Do

Hi all,
Off there this time next week and am wondering what there is to do in the locality (staying in the Conti Resort).
We typically like to hire out a Moped for 1 or 2 days and explore the Island, be it sites of interest or to find nice beaches etc - does anybody know of any in the area?
Also I presume that mopeds/quads/small cc motorbikes are widely and cheaply available as they were in Greece (only have a car license (no CBT) but hired in Greece ok and took my girlfriend as a pillion).
Also with it being on the Turkish side am I right to assume Lira?
