Bath - Hotel and Food Recommendation
Discussion
Looking at a couple of nights in Bath in a few weeks time.
Accommodation-wise thinking of Dukes?
Looks good and has positive reviews.
Food-wise - was thinking Sotto Sotto or if we can get a table Menu Gordon Jones?
Anyone eaten at either?
Other suggestions?
Thinking about visiting the spa type place but at minimum 40 quid per person - is it worth it? The twilight sessions look good.

For food The Pig have just opened a restaurant in Bath. Not been to that specific one but the one in the New Forest is top notch. Do accommodation too

Just to add - it's just outside Bath

My wife and I ate at Gordon Jones a week ago. If you can get a table I can't recommend it highly enough. My wife rated it more than L'enclume.
In terms of hotel; if you are eating at GJ then the Bear hotel is 15m away. Whilst it's not the lap of luxury the room was very nice and the breakfast was even better.

I'm not sure whether it's your cup of tea, so to speak, but a group of eighty of us recently ate at Jimmy's World Grill & Bar in Bath. It's literally across the road from the train station, Bath Spa.
The food was sensational, it's an open plan all-you-can-eat buffet type arrangement. It's based on chicken and rice meals but there are other options available.

I would not call it sensational .... an all you can eat place dosent do sensational food. I've been once and it was generic, much like zazabazzarThe food was sensational, it's an open plan all-you-can-eat buffet type arrangement.
