EU Claim, legit?
Discussion
Yes, I want some compensayshun for sitting in Basel airport for five hours longer than I intended through no fault of my own.
No, I don't want to share why I feel that I'm entitled to it.
Feel free to invent all sorts of scenarios where it might be appropriate for me to be recompensed or, alternatively (and probably much more fun), how I'm a bottom-feeding leech on society and on what I'd spend my ill-gotten and utterly undeserved gains.
Cheers, Jim

Tough. It's relevant.jimmy the hat said:

Assuming it was an EU airline, and the reason for the delay was within the airline's control, then you're entitled to €250/person compensation.https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/holiday...
If the delay was outside the airline's control, then it's down to your travel insurance.

The best I can do is correct your attempt to be funny with incorrect spelling. The suggest you get some lessons on how to spell. But then people will say, "Don't you know he did that on purpose?" or similar, or they'll tell me to lighten up or get a life so I won't bother. Oh s
t I've done it now.

But it IS relevant - because if it was the airline's fault, they pay. If it wasn't, they don't.
It's relevant to whether or not I'm entitled to compensation. Which, again, is not the question. It's not relevant to whether or not they're legit. Which, again, is the question I want answering. It appears it's not just you that's not understood this as it's been moved from SP&L. You know, where I posted it because I wanted to know if EU Claim were on the level or shysters. From a legal perspective, like.

Out of interest, how much do you think that 5 hours of your life is worth?
Quite a lot, as it happens. I was pretty clear in the OP that I wasn't going to go into why and that it was entirely incumbent upon you to do so if you see fit.
Cheers, Jim
you still sound angry.....
Don't really understand your question. I too thought the other posters had answered what you asked - although I now see you WANT an answer rather then asking. Go to a solicitor and pay if you WANT something answered - if you WOULD LIkE an answer feel free to ask and I'm sure PH members will do their best to help.
EU Claim legit? Can you phrase it differently what you want perhaps?
ah is EU Claim a company? perhaps a link to that company or reference to it being a company and what they do may have been helpful..........
ps
Chill dude

<light begins to dawn>
Oh, right. So is this "EU Claim" some kind of claims company, then? I thought you were just talking about MAKING a claim from the airline. Was it, y'know, possible or ethical or whatever.
If it's a claims company, then f
k 'em. That simple. It's going to be at least as simple to claim straight from the airline, and you'll not have to pay their cut.Profuse apologies, in the smiliest manner possible for those that think I'm angry.
Yes, EU Claim (capital letters denoting a proper noun, takes less time to type 'EU Claim' into a search engine than something confused and sarcastic and all that) are a claims company.
Does anybody know, or have an opinion on whether or not they might be above board or a bunch or coin-eyed shysters?
For the avoidance of any doubt, anybody not sure they're understanding the question feel free to seek clarification rather than answering a different question.

Ive used this website twice with success. Both claims from Ryanair, both fuss free and easy. Received in excess of £1200 in total.

And yes yes, I know you didn't ask but I'm telling you anyway.

No probs at all, it's infinitely more helpful than some of the other posts.http://www.resolver.co.uk/

That's not to say I don't enjoy condescension born of ignorance, you understand.
Many smiles, not angry.

Might take less time to title the thread properly, if you want the question answered rather than making it sound like an EU legislation question.Yes, EU Claim (capital letters denoting a proper noun, takes less time to type 'EU Claim' into a search engine than something confused and sarcastic and all that) are a claims company.
