Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Leeds, one thats a bit posher than the usual Premier Inn type, and preferably close to, or in the city centre please?

I will soon have to go there through work, and would like to take the wife and stay somewhere a bit posher for a change. I can claim up to a certain amount as expenses and i'm happy to put in extra for somewhere posher than normal. No particular budget, but within the £200 mark. Not bothered about using gym/pool facilities, just a nicer room than normal.

Thanks.

My hotspot choice is the village out on the Otley Road. The Grande Plaza is in town and closer

Dakota deluxe.
It's in a great location near the centre.
TripAdvisor reviews should indicate just how good it is.

I like Quebec's, I don't rate the Hilton or Queens.

The Malmaison is supposed to be decent.

Dakota Deluxe does look very good, and as you say, it's in a great location.

Recent reviews are not so positive; I stayed there years ago and it was good but maybe tired?

I live in Leeds but me and my good lady stayed in the Radisson Blu last month for our anniversary night out. Can't fault it at all, they gave us a free room upgrade too because I mentioned it was a special occasion when I booked.

We ended up in a suite and had a great breakfast.

Lots of the other places mentioned are solid choices though.

When I was hoteling 2 years ago I found Queens the nicest - better than Novotel & Radisson. Was quite cheap too at the time (£66).
Otherwise do trivago, etc & look at the reviews.

I use the Dakota Deluxe when I go up there for work, it is quite nice compared to others I've used. Parking can be an issue though.

It certainly looks nice on their website.
