Where to stay/eat in Beaune?

Planning my annual family roadtrip to Europe. I know we’re going to be in Munich before heading on to Salzburg and then Croatia

But heading down to Munich I like the look of Beaune (lots of AM owners seem to stay there and it looks lovely).

Has anyone got any good recommendations of where to stay/eat? Would be hugely appreciated!

PS - ideally would prefer a hotel with a pool or our youngest (manic swimmer) gets twitchy. But not 100% essential

Hotel Le Cep very good. Centre of town with good parking (and garage) and a Michelin star.

Another vote for Le Cep. House opposite was home to the Chevrolet brothers when they made race cars and before they moved to the US and founded a rather large motor manufacturer. Leave room in the car for a few cases of wine, Nuit-st-Georges is just up the road.

I think that the Ibis Styles in town has a pool, cheap too.

If Levernois suits you, I can highly recommend Hostellerie de Levernois. That cheese trolley!

Also, don't skip Chateau de Savigny-les-Beaune if you're in the area. The collection of jets, fire engines, motorbikes, Abarths etc etc etc is something else!
