I have not flown since 2019, so just want to sanity check, settle a discussion biggrin

I can take small "travel" size shower gels/ deodorants etc in my cabin bag without decanting into clear bottles cant I?

Also transiting Abu Dhabi there wont be any issues there with them not being in clear bottles?

Yes, as long as they are no larger than 100ml.

Some airports have scanners now that you don't need to worry about liquids at all.

For the sake a few quid, I've taken to leaving the liquids at home and picking up what I need from Boots once airside or from wherever I'm going.

Still had to have clear bags for liquids at Manchester and Liverpool this summer.

They have them at City Airport and Heathrow, but not at all of the lanes.

Misleading.

You do still have to keep to the required maximum limits and can’t have more than the baggie worth of them but you just don’t have to have them out of your bag to be scanned separately.

Same as some airports have the new scanners where you don’t need to take your electronics out and have them scanned separately too.

Most of the airport Boots will let you do click & collect as well so you can just go in and pick it up.

And not totalling more than 1000ml, so essentially 10 x 100ml bottles if you like.

Yes Bills advice was definitely misleading.

Sorry all, hadn't appreciated the 100ml limit was still in force.

At Stansted you still need to have them in a separate clear bag.

Always how I do it now too, for a short trip with only small hand luggage. Anything to make the process less hassle.

There's no airport where you would have to decant into clear bottles.
