Gatwick Airport Help for today/tomorrow please...

Thanks to Lufthansa cancelling my flight from Heathrow tomorrow I am now flying BA from Gatwick at 9:00am. South Terminal. (I think).

Can someone advise on best options for where to stay overnight and where to park. Don't mind a short train ride into the airport, but it's a place I am totally unfamiliar with.
