We're looking for a fun car rental in Crete for our last blast holiday before our first born arrives.

Has anyone rented a sports/classic car in Crete? Any recommendations welcome.

Cheers

There's a car hire company (or was, haven't been for a while) at Rithymna Beach Hotel that had a couple of 911s and a Corvette.

Wasn't too pricey - though I was overruled by the Steering Committee and Budget Holder! smile

lol - The business case for Lobster Pasta seems to hold more weight than "but it's a Porsche!"..

Thanks Stevie, I'll give it a shot.

I've not seen many classic/sports rentals when I've been out there

Quick Google found these:

1972 - Lancia Fulvia or 1976 - Mini Cooper:

Few sporty options here:
https://www.s-concept.gr/

I've not used either, so can't vouch for them

Thanks Haddock, I found the S-concept one - looks like a fleet of 4! But I only need one.. will give them a shout.

I also found these guys [ https://www.vip-charter-service.com/Greece/Crete/R... ] but the website is pretty awful, I've asked for a price list.

Will give the other one a shot too.

Also tempted by a Jimny for €300 for a week!

Cheers

Everyone drives clapped out junk, tractors or 1.0l euro boxes at 30mph. There is only 1 decent road on the island. Your opportunity to enjoy driving is very limited. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Thanks Teknopug. Maybe time to scratch the Jimny / Panda 4x4 itch then!

We did a jeep “safari” in Jimnys. Good fun. North to south across the island. Nice wood fired BBQ for lunch. Must have been 20 cars. Fairly decent off road abuse was had. Ours was a death trap and kept cutting out. The rest seemed ok. All part of the fun!

I think it was this one but there are loads
