recent surprise masectomy - want to get away uk

so recent recall from routine breast scan, more tests, scans, biopsies, within 2 weeks, right masectomy done, to say we are in shock was/is understatement, but they picked up on it, as a routine feel wouldnt have hilighted the fact it was there. So counting our blessings x

So once next few weeks have calmed down, hospital follow ups etc, we would love to go somewhere overlooking the sea, just the 2 of us, either hotel or rental, preferably in the south, just want something bit special, to recap what the hell has just happened. With a view to doing the same for new years eve to see this year out and welcome 2024.

Anything that springs to mind that could be recomended, that would be lovely and worth the money. Thank you

Rent a cottage on the Cornish coast.

We went to one in Seaton just a few miles from Looe and it was perfect with even a decent pub a very short stroll away.

Would be glorious looking out onto the waves from the warmth this time of year.

Yes, we used to stay at a friends place in polperro, two pubs, some nice walking, and feels completely away from everything. rental with a view is a must.
