looking for a quiet hotel in Malaga in February, close to old town, any recommendations please? Also museums/galleries/restaurants?

Coincidence. Just booked a week

Can’t actually recommend as yet but looks reasonably located with same ideas as yourself

Check out the Car and Fashion museum- enjoyable way to spend an hour choosing outfits to match your classic car.

I stayed here this Feb. Hotel right in old town and was very nice. No pool / roof top terrace though

Earlier recommended hotel has a great roof top bar.

Off there tomorrow. Can't help on hotel as we're staying at an Airbnb on Calle Marin Garcia which I'm told is pretty central for Christmas lights etc.

I'll keep an eye on this thread though if anything interesting comes up and update if we find anything useful.

Malaga is a really nice city… a decent size, but not too big you can’t walk around everything.

Cathedral, Alcazaba, Atarazanas (massive indoor food market with some tapas bars), the castle, Picasso museum, Roman ruins…. All well worth a visit and would be easily doable in a day.

There’s a walking route you’ll be able to pick up from most tourist type shops that takes you round everything.

For food… there are 100’s of restaurants and tapas bars. Best to get some recommendations off the travel shows…
