3/4 days in the Pyrenees - Western end

Toward the end of this year's Euro tour I'm looking to spend 3 or 4 days in the Pyrenees for some hiking/ interesting exploration. It will be mid September and I'll be coming from San Sebastian before heading up through Western France.

Any suggestions of a pretty village/town to stop in?

That's a pretty good shout, bit further east than I was thinking however it might work - appreciate it.
