Has anyone got a recommendation for a decent single trip breakdown cover policy for a trip to France?

The one I used to use (last time was pre-covid), who I know were very good as they dealt with rescue a mate who broke down and were really efficient seems to have disappeared.

Green Flag is the option at the moment, at £36 for 8 days cover. The price is not an issue at all, but no idea how good/bad/indifferent the service is likely to be if needed, so if anyone has any recommendations based on experience, I'd be grateful!

Standard car, 4 years old, so nothing exotic or ancient - just looking for a tried and test option.

Greenflag are good in the UK, and I always buy their European cover, but I have never needed to use it.

Reckon that's pretty good both service and price-wise. Green Flag have a decent enough reputation as far as I recall. smile

I had a few days cover in France a fortnight ago for my 55 year old Amazon and it was £18 a day from the AA.

Thanks both

I've not had much recent experience with Green Flag, but it looks like they are the best option. I'll take the policy out with them.

Cheers.

If you already have UK breakdown cover, expanding it to include Europe for your remaining term may be cheaper than a standalone policy, it was for me last year with the RAC with 8 months remaining.

The renewal with it still attached was stupid, though, so I knocked it back off as I don't need it all the time.
