Car Friendly Hotel near Basel, Switzerland

Hi guys....#a colleague is looking to find a decent hotel near Basel in Switzerland, that would be car friendly. Looking for a decent quality place. Although I have done quite a bit of Euro driving, I dont know anywhere near Basel...

Any recommendations please?

Yes. I probably phrased it badly.

Looking for a high quality hotel, with car parking, that would be easy enough to drive to near Basel. Doesn’t have to be in the centre of town. Just a nice place to start a 2 day driving tour from

Trouble is one man’s nectar is another man’s poison!

For instance I’ve done Switzerland a few times and prefer to stay closer to the passes rather than in a city and don’t require anything fancy just good food, clean comfy bed, decent beer and a safe car park

We have stayed in "Hotel Bristol" which is in the centre of Mulhouse several times over the years.
It has a private gated car park and with a very short walk to all bars and restaurants in the centre of Mulhouse. I would happily leave any car there..

Edited to add.. It is a 30 minute ish drive to the Swiss border in Basel.
