One month off work, something car related?

I feel very fortunate to have negotiated a month off work in November.

I've got a few ideas for big trips etc but I've also been wondering about going down a different route and learning something new or picking up a new hobby/side-hustle.

Like most on here I'm sure I've got a deep passion for cars and would love to do something related. Ideas

- Classic car restoration (though I don't own a suitable car myself, or have space to work on one)
- Some sort of mechanics course to learn how to do jobs like basic servicing
- Automotive writing - I enjoy creative writing thought this might be difficult to get into/feels quite saturated at the moment

Does anyone know about ways in to any of the above?
Or any other ideas for something I could do?

A month off is insufficient time to develop any meaningful new skill let alone develop a side-hustle. Personally, I'd just kick back and enjoy the time off.

But if you were of a mind, I'd look to combine the writing with the trips. Something I've often thought would be fun is to review the car you hire on a trip so combining motoring writing with travel journalism. Depending one where you go, you are sometimes given a car that's not available in the UK and not always of premium quality so some good tongue-in-cheek fodder there!

Nothing wrong with doing a decent thread on PH with a few pictures.

No mention of budget in the OP, but I assume that a month touring the continent visiting all the factory museums is out of the question.

Yes I am finding that a month is not really long enough to get stuck into anything. I suppose what I was looking for is a longer, residential-style course on which I could spend time learning something useful.

What I've found so far is generally 1 or 2 day things (with no dates in November) or full qualifications that take 1 year + to complete.

Multiple factory visits is an interesting idea, though maybe better times to drive through Europe than November.
