Winter warmth October - pick a spot!

Looking at Tenerife/Lanzarote or Gran Canaria for a week in October. Never been before, just looking for a nice chill out and some warmth.
Probably do a bit of touring in a hire car perhaps for a few days while there.
Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated thanks.

If you're not dead set on the Canaries then there are nicer places in Europe that will be warm and sunny in October. Crete and Cyprus are two that spring to mind.

Yea not dead set, had heard a few good things about all of them from friends is all. Not been to Crete or Cyprus either to be fair.

Have done Crete for late October half term - the weather was very much on the turn. Occasionally low 20s, but also high teens and drizzly.
