Has anybody travelled from Salt Lake To Vegas on a road trip, any recomendations for stop overs

You're in big National Park land there. If you're the camping type, I'd highly recommend Capitol Reef, Zion and Bryce Canyon.

Yes, although Las Vegas was the stop off on a journey from Salt Lake City to San Diego - as SLC to LV is doable in a day.

However, if looking to stop off I'd detour off and stay in Springdale and spend some time in Zion National Park, it's a stunning place.
