Denmark, Copenhagen - November, what to see & avoid?

As per the title,
Off to Copenhagen in November (21st - 25th),
Landing 1300 departing 1700 so 4 days really.
Staying close to Tivoli,
Considered hiring a car to get over to Malmo, may consider it for a day, but parking charges seem extortionate to keep one multiple days.
Christmas markets start that weekend and MrsShuff will be happy to browse the shops & stalls.
But what recommendations can any of you give for our 4 days in Copenhagen?

Tivoli at night is fun, just for the people-watching.

I’d just avoid Copenhagen if I’d be honest. Expensive with average (expensive) restaurants. They love salt for some reason and it ruins a restaurant experience. We did it during covid as we wanted to get away and that was all that was open. Won’t be back.
Don’t listen to this, it’s a wonderful city. Making a decision on a place during Covid is bad form, then advising others not to go, even worse.

Tivoli will have great Xmas displays. I go to Denmark a fair bit with work and it’s lovely at Christmas time (November).
Nyhavn is nice to stroll along and pubs /restaurants by the water is good.
Malmo on train, no need for a car.
Don’t bother with the mermaid, google it if you want a picture.

As above, Tivoli is great in the evening, and Christmas markets are good. There is a likely a couple about the centre, but can get busy just like anywhere of course.
What sort of food and drink are you after?
Bars?
Music?
Museums?
Yes it’s not cheap but which major European city is? You’ll be paying £7-£9 for a pint.
I’m going on Sunday for a week.

Took a couple of mates on the long walk up the prom to the Mermaid, only to find a giant TV screen sat in the water with a live stream showing people walking around it in Shanghai ! Nyhavn is nice to stroll along and pubs /restaurants by the water is good.

I recently stayed at the Radisson Collection Royal Hotel, right opposite Tivoli. Interesting hotel with a history. Has an underground car park that had interesting models in it, when I visited. Highly recommended.
Also, agree that Copenhagen is a fantastic city. I enjoy it more than nearby Stockholm.

We’re both kind of relaxed with regards to night life,
Much rather dinner (vegetarian options) and relax than club / heavy drinking (epileptic).
Opted for November to try to catch the Xmas markets and browse for some gifts for family.

You won't get much heavy drinking done in Scandinavia! There are some Irish bars but it will be low key with happy hour the busiest. Much rather dinner (vegetarian options) and relax than club / heavy drinking (epileptic).

Malmo is easy, trains should run around every 30 mins over the bridge and take you straight into the center of town. Maybe a little less to see and do due to the time of year but we spent a nice day exploring there.Take a coat!

I'm there now. The bars are very lively tonight especially just north of Nyhavn and the Kongens Nytorv square. Pavements full so you have to walk in the road. Really hot and humid all day though so probably not many actually inside.
Gotta disagree on the food. 3 great nights out. All different. All exceptional in their own way. Just stopped in a bar now on way back from Host (recommended on here) which was really good food and service for a decent price - £100 a head got 5 course tasting and wine match. Marv and Ben yesterday was some of the best food I've ever had and the Krebsgaarden the night was something else with the owners/chefs serving tables and making you feel like you're in their home.
Finally, can recommended Nyhavn 71 hotel. A bit pricey but good location and a great breakfast.
