Yep did it many moons ago in Utah

Have only done it once when my kids were younger, however would definitely go again if and when the grandkids fancy it

We deliberately chose a small family run ranch as the prospect of being one of dozens of guests didn't appeal to me in the least, 10 guests including my family of 4, hosting family couldn't have been more welcoming if they'd tried, kids loved every minute of. it was located in the middle of nowhere, no mobile phone signal, no internet (bliss)

just the right balance of horsey stuff, would definitely recommend it, provided you do your homework and choose the ranch that you feel suits your needs, for us it needed to be small family owned and run working ranch, not a glorified holiday camp catering for the masses
