Recommendations for good in Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City?
Discussion
the most famous hotel in Saigon is the Hotel Continental, its where all the war journalists used to hang and where Graham Greene wrote The Quiet American. So if you like history its pretty cool -mind you, I had to move rooms because someone in the room next to me was snoring so loudly, so the walls are pretty thin! Fairly sure theres no pool, but I think the next most famous hotel the Caravelle has one. Both have pretty interesting histories.

We love the Reverie, brilliant location and you've got to try the dim sum in their Long Trieu restaurant.
Looks lovely but want to keep to around the £100 per night with breakfast. The Silverland hotels look good value, any comments any one. I am cancelling the one I booked yesterday as digging deeper doesn’t sound good.

Park Hyatt Saigon is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend.
Looks lovely but at £1k for 3 nights it’s 3x the amount I want to pay! Will push the limit to £150 per night with breakfast for something exceptional but looking at the £100 mark.Didn’t realise Ho Chi Minh was so expensive for hotels, staying in a nice hotel in KL for a lot less money!
Mai house is a nice hotel
Villa Song, it’s a bit out the way in Quan 2 but that’s not that bad a thing, just get a Grab a car is maybe £2 for 15 minutes or taxi and enjoy a more relaxed environment.
If you have never been to Saigon before book and Urban Adventures street food experience (or similar) early in your stay I reckon it makes exploring so much more comfortable.

The majestic is a beautiful old hotel full of character, has a lovely pool and breakfast to die for, a great drinking veranda in the evenings overlooking the Saigon river, I stayed here in May and thoroughly recommend it. Well within your budget too.

I am here in Saigon now - I come here one a year
Glad you have a choice - I am subject to the client's booking agent. This trip I am in District 3 rather than district 1 - makes a big difference for my evenings, not as much to do or see.
But I have stayed in Le Meridian in District 1 which was nice - not traditional but the location was good, I stayed a the Bay Hotel which is behind Le Merdian and independent - small but quite cool
This trip only 3 days thank god as they have put me in a generic Novotel - clean, new ish but a Novotel.
