Where to stay in Amsterdam

Looking to have four nights in Amsterdam in December.

Would like to stay somewhere that has good tram links AND also walking distance from Centraal Station as we need to get an early train (5am) back to Schipol Airport.

Not looking for anything too flash, somewhere that has decent rooms with breakfast.

Any ideas cheers!

Hotel NH City Centre Amsterdam on Spuistraat. We stayed there last year and will hopefully be using it again mid next year.

20 min walk / 10 min tram from the station.

Friendly/helpful staff, quiet road, decent rooms, wallet friendly. Great location (easy to walk to a lot of attractions, but not right in the centre of chaos). 5 min walk to metro (30 min to Schipol).

Out of those three Mai looks favourite- close to station and easy to get everywhere

I’m off there Monday for 3 nights. Staying in park centraal Amsterdam. Looks ok and hopefully no one on here says they’ve stayed and it’s awful haha.
Last time I went to Amsterdam was around 20yrs ago! First trip away without kids for that long!

I stayed here for 3 nights last month for a work team event. It was pleasant enough and right by the station. Had a gym and small pool.

I’ve done a couple of conferences at the Doubletree by Hilton just by the Centraal Station. Modern and decent, easy walking to lots of good restaurants

I'd second this suggestion

Close to the main central station
Nice hotel
Reasonable prices
