Just started planning next years summer trip for the family, 2 adults, 3 teenage kids.

We're doing Paris for a few days, then driving down to the Alps for 4 nights as the kids haven't been there, then heading onto the south for a week in a villa.

Any recommendations for places to stay, either locations, or specific villas / chalets ? I have been to Chamonix in the summer, pre kids and enjoyed it. I'd like to be fairly close to Mont Blanc so that we can go to the top again on the cable car..

Any recommendations welcomed, accommodation needs to be a 4 bedroom private house / villa...

Following as I've fancied this myself.

From the times Ive been mountain biking in the Alps in summer, Morzine or Les gets is a good shout. There's a heated outdoor pool in Morzine, access to Avoriaz via cable car.
I've also been to les arcs, you can access the mountain via the funicular railway for hillwalking and biking.

Not sure what sort of activities you are after?

Thanks for this. RE activities I have that 'challenge' of varying interests and willingness to exert one selves across the family ! But, I'm thinking some rafting, accessing some mountains by cable car, I have done the agui de midi before and loved that, possibly some biking, if we can rent bikes

Beyond that, access to a nice town / village for some restaurants etc...

We'll have the family bus so driving around is no issue.

Morzine is brilliant for swimming, sports etc. I used to cycle over the bridge over the sports area - it's designed to keep any child! happy

The morzine and Les gets area is a great summer destination. Not too far from Chamonix for a day trip.

Lakes for paddle boarding, canoing, swimming, big inflatable play areas.

Lifts accessible for walkers and bikers, with routes and runs to sort all levels.
Indoor and outdoor pools, local fetes, music, pony trekking, white water rafting, petit train etc, etc.

Get some accommodation that comes with a multi pass and you get free or reduced price to a lot of stuff.

It is also just as easy to just kick back and relax.

Been going to the area summer and winter for well over a decade and seen things develop in that time, especially in summer.

Morzine is the place to be in summer. Lift access all over and towns always busy 👍
