Thailand in July

Looking to do Thailand in July next year, a few people went this year and said the weather was amazing; namely the islands like Samui.

I was thinking Chiang Mai and Samui, is the former in the rainy season? I know Samui is fine at that time of year.

Hotel reccomendations would also be great, it’s been a while since I went.

I did the three islands, Samui, Phangan and Koh Tao in early Aug this year. Weather was really good.c
Chiang Mai is not brilliant at that time of year. I am headed there tomorrow, but even then it is still raining.
I would maximise the time in Koh Samui
