Nashville NYE. Should we?

I’m not totally sure why I’m posting here. Positive reinforcement perhaps? I guess what I’m after is opinions and experiences of anyone who has done similar.
Basic question is this, should we contemplate Nashville’s Big Bash for New Years Eve?
Bit of background. Myself and my partner over the last 24 months I guess you could say ‘discovered’ modern country music.
Now, we are both big music fans of various genres but we got listening to a Country radio station and really like and enjoyed an awful lot of what we heard. Long story short back in September we went on trip to the USA (we are in the UK) and spent 3 days in each of New Orleans, Memphis and Nashville soaking up all the incredible music venues and history each place had to offer. It really was a fantastic trip, but Nashville? Well, that place was just something else. The sheer level of talent and just general atmosphere of the place was unlike anything we had seen before.
Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago and I joked that we should go away somewhere for New Years for a change. As an even bigger joke I looked up what Nashville was like on NYE. Now I wish I hadn’t, as I can’t decide what to do! For those that don’t know, Downtown turns into a bit of a mental party and just a little way away is an enormous free concert that has 3 headline acts, all of which are major stars in the country scene (Keith Urban, Kane Brown and Jelly Roll). We are fans of all of these. And it’s a free gig. Yes, free.
And now I’m in a quandary. I’ve looked at how much it will be for 5 nights (28th to 2nd), and yes, it’s expensive, but I do have the money. I can afford it. It won’t impact us monetarily other than a savings dent. But, should we?
I guess the question is, has anyone experienced Nashville on NYE? Should we just say sod it and go? Am I likely to be disappointed? Is it overhyped mental nonsense? And it is a fair whack of money.
I am genuinely torn.

We did Chicago-Nashville-Memphis-New Orleans (and a few other smaller places) a few weeks back.
We thought downtown Nashville on a Saturday night was great fun, a bit crazy and with tons of great music, I'd assume NYE is that amplified up to 11.
A big free concert sounds great, though I guess they start queueing early!
The only thing we were disappointed about in Nashville was the lack of Country Music, almost all of the bands on Broadway played Rock and modern generic music. We were told by a local tour-guide that few bands play country music as the tourist market is in general not familiar with it.

t bands all playing the same music, badly, over and over again..."tips for requests" was the order of the day.
Every pub has their own roster of st bands, getting stter as you go up the floors...
Caught an American football game too.. just a load of people standing about waiting for TV adverts to finish, then 12 seconds of "action"... thought it may be a bit more interesting in real life.. but no... just boring.
That being said, there is a strange little "European car museum" not far from the city centre which was interesting with some odd/rare cars in it, and as usual with these places, get away from the main strip, in this case, head across the river to the 5 Points area to have a much better time, cheaper with the locals.

I'm glad we did it, as it was somewhere we had wanted to visit, but we wouldn't go back either. Given my wife is a Line Dancing Instructor and Singer, she was more disappointed with it than I was, as whilst we enjoyed the 'buzz' for a couple of nights, she really wanted to hear Country Music and do some Line-Dancing, but we didn't find either. Saturday night on Broadway, they block the streets off with Police cars on every corner.

You miserable sod , you knew what you were walking into . Why bother going ? Not a Country fan by any means but Nashville is great for entertainment. Get your flights booked OP .
I was there in April, loved it. Broadway is brilliant. I'm not a country music fan but there wasn't much being played when I was there. Every bar had a band on, playing all kinds of stuff, I heard Guns & Roses quite a bit, U2, even one band playing something by the Spice Girls.

Probably worth posting this as an alternative to the naysayers that have already posted.
You've said you've been to Nashville and you liked it, and you like the bands that will be playing on NYE. Based on that, my opinion is GO FOR IT.
There are far few opportunities in life to do things you really enjoy, so if there's a more than 50% chance you're going to love this, then JUST DO IT.
The only thing I would say, is that you will get better VFM if you add a few days on the end. No idea where, but you're in the US, so take advantage of it.
Seriously, get those tickets booked.
