Looking at these two locations. All inclusive, 10 days.

Calas De Mallorca in Majorca

or

Faliraki Bay

Whats peoples opinions on the locations. Kids love a water park, water slides etc.
Hotel we saw in Faliraki has more options on that front but both good options.

We probably wont venture out of the hotel for more than 2/3 days unless there is a lot to do ie hire a car for a day or 2.
In everyones experience is there more to do in Majorca than Faliraki? Water parks/beaches/temperature/food better in one or the other location?

All experience welcome

Faliraki will be full of 18-21 year olds on booze benders

Think Ayia Napa/Malia/San Antonio

Go to Majorca IMO

Fair point when i was in that age bracket many moons ago, i went to Ayia Napa, Tenerife and Kos. We used to have a budget of £200-250 for a week away.

Im guessing Greece is still cheap for the kids these days.

What time of year?

However, probably not that important as I'd always go Majorca over faliraki. Shorter flight for pretty much the same thing. With kids, all you need is a pool, a beach and sun. There's loads of great family hotels in Majorca.

Late Aug Early Sept is the time frame

Context last year we went to Ibiza, previous year Gran Canaria (the Lopesan Hotel Group) which was fantastic value for money

Agree all we really want is a water slide (decent one), Decent food, evening entertainment for the kids. Few days out possible but we went out 1 day in Gran Canaria and 2 days in Ibiza.

Budget All Inc up to £4k

So Far Majorca, Faliraki (Not looking good), Tenerife, Cyprus and The Algarve.

Faliraki, I went there 15 years ago and can still remember how rancid it was!

I had a very similar predicament to you, last year, we went to the Algarve (twice!). I would highly recommend as you can take the kids to Zoomarine and also a tour of the caves too!

I’ve started looking this year and basically gave up with the timings / cost etc, we are going away in Easter holiday instead and will plan to do a trip to South of France - maybe another option?

Ended up with Paphos - Cyprus, Coral Bay instead.

We saw a better hotel for the kids and so went with it.

Thanks for the input though all.

I got married in Coral Bay. Beautiful place.

The water park in Paphos is good but go to the one in Limassol aswell if you have time which is, IIRC, a bit bigger.

If you choose Mallorca please don't go to Calas de Mallorca, its one of the worst areas on the island. Purpose built, nothing there, buildings were mostly built in the 60's and 70's and it now looks pretty depressing. Cala D'or, Soller, Pollenca etc are a much better option!
