So as per the title I have a bumper currently with a friend in como Italy.
I live in fleet in the uk. Home of the famous fleet services on the m3.
I’m having major problems getting sensible quotes for shipping said bumper. Because it’s bigger than 120cm all the couriers and freight forwarders Iv found want hilarious sums of money to ship it.
So I’m wondering if anybody will be driving from Italy to the uk for whatever reason who might be interested in bringing it back for me. Obviously I’d be happy to meet you somewhere near whatever port you use to trendier the uk and pay you a fee for your help.
If anybody can help I’d be eternally grateful.
The bumper is in a cardboard box 190x92x38 cm.
It could be removed from the box if it fitted better into your vehicle as long as it doesn’t get broken. It’s for a phase 1 Renault 19 so it’s a stiffer plastic than a lot of modern bumpers and it’s going to be painted so scuffs and scratches are not a major issue as long as it doesn’t get cracked or dented.
Please feel free to contact me on here.
Many thanks, tom.

It’s only 10kg though so they would have to be pretty skinny. I might try to find a migrant to bring it here as they seem to get here no problems!

Hands up, I have transported an unknown person from Germany back to the UK!

Was at a Ring track day (went for the jolly, so just pax'ing). A friend from our group was contacted by his German friend that he had a stranded Brit (anyone remember the Iceland volcanic ash cloud in 2011?), and asked if he could hitch a lift home. As I was leaving a day early next day, the German friend drove for several hours to drop off this Brit in the garage, we shook hands and he jumped into my car for the return trip to the UK. Nice guy, was a music teacher. Thankfully he didn't specialise in the cello as storage space was a premium in the Exige hehe
