Hi all, my wife is travelling up from the north Cotswolds next Wednesday to meet her best friend who’s coming down from Leeds. They are planning to meet roughly halfway, which according to Google maps is just west of Mansfield. They’ll both be on the M1 so anywhere around there would be good. Any nice spots for lunch that you’ve been to for lunch?

Many thanks

Queens Head at Watnall, couple of miles from J27 of M1, good pub grub (Huge Fish with chips).

Greggs is considered "the health food shop" in Mansfield.

Might be a bit off location. But 100% worth the extra few miles. Griffin inn at Swithland. Can’t rate it highly enough.
