Daughter studying in Spain this year, she has bought a few items of costume jewellery at a local vintage market that she would like to send as presents to family and friends in the UK. This is now of course a good deal more complicated and expensive than it used to be - something she had not factored in unfortunately.

Any tips on the cheapest/easiest way to do this? The items are not intrinsically of much value - £20 - £30 each - but a quick look on DHL site suggests that they will charge a minimum of 34 Euros. Seems plenty but maybe that's just how much it costs now? Thoughts or advice appreciated.

I suspect the Spanish post office could do it cheaper, especially as it is likely to be a 'small package' type envelope/jiffy bag not a big box.

You can get them to put 'gift' on the customs label.
