We do a 2 week holiday every year in October. Generally for some decent sun.

We're looking for high 20's minimum for temperature. Hotel with plenty of entertainment for a 6 year old and ideally a handful of decent to do day trips if possible.

We did Turkey last year but limited to just one boat trip for anything interesting for the then 5 year old to do. rest of time spent playing on resort.

Best im coming up with is around £2400 in Tunisia.

I'd normally push for Mexico as ive been before and there was dolphin trip, machu pichu, pirate boat, water park and a sea world place for trips to do. but this is coming out at about £4k and hard to justify the price difference to Tunisia.

Anywhere else i'm missing? I've only really looked on TUI so far.

Is the Machu Pichu in Mexico something different to the more famous Machu Picchu in Peru? smile

A lot of places in the Med can probably meet the criteria.

You’d hope that Chichen Itza is was was meant; otherwise it’ll be quite a day trip! smile

You will get something in the Canaries for your budget.

Dominican republic should be achievable too.

It would be Crete for me, can’t recommend AI as I don’t do it but there are lots of them.

Not sure Crete hits the temperature targets. be nice to be in high 20's. we tend to go the last 2 weeks of October.

What is there in terms of things to do for day trips in the canaries?

You need to decide on which island.

End of October maybe not but I’ve been a few times in Ictober and it’s always been mid to high twenties. Sea is also mid twenties
