Dominican republic end of April

Has anybody been towards the end of April,we’ve just booked for next year, I’ve seen it’s best recommended to go between November and April, I’m not sure if that means before the beginning of April or if it includes all of April

We go on n the 21st for a week

Out of curiosity I’ve just looked at the forecast for the next 2 weeks and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much thunder!
