Pubs in/near Blakeney
Discussion
It’s a while since I’ve been but a pal was there last year and bumped into my niece there. They both said it’s still good.

Though I've not been there myself, The Blakeney Hotel has a bar.
It is well regarded by some of my neighbours who enjoy its old world charm.

We went to The White Horse last week and thought it had changed for the worse since we last visited. Food (except for the fish & chips) was poor and there was no pub atmosphere. I wish that we had gone to The Kings Arms instead.
The Wiverton Bell is close by and we've enjoyed going there.

Nice garden overlooking the salt marshes is a bonus (if the weather is nice)

Beautiful place.
Whilst you re in Blakeney maybe visit St Nicholas Church and pay your respects to two time Le Mans winner Sir Henry “Tim” Birkin. Sir Henry died in London in 1933 - a burn to his arm sustained in the Tripoli GP became infected and he died of septicaemia.
The Bentley boy s wish was to be buried in Blakeney with his feet pointing out to sea. Unfortunately the Bishop felt otherwise and ruled that his grave was dug parallel to all the other residents.

Love visiting but couldn’t live there!
The Manor hotel does a great Sunday lunch and has some great views from the front garden
Kings Arms does a good trade in simple pub grub and has good beers
White Horse always feels a bit overpriced but does make a nice lace so sit and have a drink. They have everything Adnams produce
Two Magpies - Best coffee and cakes in the village
Blakeney Hotel - never tried but meant to be good
Wicetone Bell very good and walkable from Blakeney
Further out The White Horse at Brancaster Stairhe is excellent
If all else fails, go to Wells-Next-The-Sea and buy chips from French s over the road from the harbour

Sat outside that pub 54 years ago whilst I ate a sandwich. I was camping up on Salthouse heath. Woke up one morning with 5 inches of snow on my tent.
The old stomping ground of my youth in the 60s/70s. Used to sail my National 12 and later Enterprise there with friends. Then into the pub to warm up. A mate of mine had a traditional fishing boat there and we'd go out, catch a few macherel, fry them in the boat to eat and sell the rest at the quayside when we got back. Happy days. Still try and get to Norfolk once a year.
We visited a couple of weeks ago. I love the area and could happily retire there.
We ate at the Kings Arms which was good and a more traditional pub. I was also impressed with the Manor Coastal inn which had a very nice beer garden.
If you like a glass of wine though, apart from the Kings Arms it was expensive, around £13+ per glass.

Morston Hall is just up the road and Michelin Starred I think if you want really fancy. Not sure if it's dog friendly though...
Or you could do a North Norfolk pub crawl on the Coast Hopper. Stops at pretty much every pub along the coast road, why limit yourself to one pub

I used to play darts pretty regularly in there 35 years ago, the toilets were outside and the place was a typical local pub.
It's far from that now, the food offering is great, but like all old pubs, it's lost a lot of its soul.
