Booked a week with Mrs Loto first week in October.

Any comments on what to do/see? I'm a keen walker so looking foward to doing some trails - are there any downloadable resources showing trails around the village?

The village is beautiful, in a lovely setting in the Soller valley. We walked to Fornalutx from Soller through Biniaraix and back down to Soller, took a couple of hours. There are plenty of walks around the valley if you want to go further afield, including down to Port Soller, or even over towards Deia. You can get the boat / ferry from port Soller over to Sa Calobra and back, avoiding the cars and bikes! Further afield if you have a car, the likes of Valldemossa are lovely hillside towns to send a couple of hours. Enjoy, we love it there.

Thank you for the input - looking forward to it, haven't been to Majorca for almost 40 years (Arenal back then yikes).

I must do that walk you mention

Because it’s so pretty, Fornalutx can get busy during the day, but not crazily so, and you are slightly out of season, but October is high cycling season so expect a few of them passing by. It’s a cycling paradise.

You’ll find plenty of info for walks if you search online, but we parked u on the main road in Soller, walked through Soller to Biniaritx and then followed a road and paths around to the eastern side of the southern (right side) of the valley going uphill, and then you drop back down into Fornalutx. It’s a trek but you get to see the valley from higher up.

Thanks again - sounds just my thing. We've done Cinque Terre 3 times and I tend to go off walking for the day while Mrs Loto relaxes or swims.

..I may take some bike gear and see if I can hire a bike
